The Medicine Check: Healthspan checkup

5-minute Healthspan Trend Score

Quick mode compares a smaller set of measurements plus memory and mood self-ratings. Stable or improved measures count as favorable, and numerical measures without both last-year and this-year values are ignored.

Changing modes clears measurement entries. Memory and mood choices are retained.

Fitness is a high-signal marker

Cardiorespiratory fitness and VO2 max are among the strongest measurable predictors of morbidity and mortality, so VO2 max is included when a user has a measured or estimated value.

Function keeps the score practical

Gait speed, chair stands, grip strength, and walking distance keep the screen grounded in strength, mobility, frailty risk, and everyday reserve.

Labs are trend signals, not age tests

Blood pressure, glucose, HbA1c, ApoB or LDL, hs-CRP, eGFR, cystatin C, and urine ACR are treated as modifiable risk context rather than a direct biological-age claim.

Lp(a) is usually a one-time risk marker

Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), is largely inherited and generally stable. The tracker accepts the laboratory's reported unit and shows cardiovascular risk context without adding Lp(a) to the annual trend score.

Nutrition informs coaching context

Diet evidence favors quality patterns, adequate protein with aging, healthy fats, fiber-rich carbohydrates, and avoiding extreme restriction as a default recommendation.

Imaging belongs in clinician review

CAC, DXA, CT, and MRI body-composition findings can add risk context, but they are not routine self-score inputs and should be interpreted with a clinician.

Cognition and mood

These self-ratings score as favorable when they are about the same or better compared with last year.

Your healthspan checkup will appear here. Enter any last-year and this-year values you have. Blank measures are ignored.

Educational direction-of-travel screen only. It is not a diagnosis, biological-age test, imaging recommendation, or replacement for individualized medical advice. The score counts entered measures that are stable or improved; it does not apply disease-specific clinical targets. Lp(a) is shown separately as one-time guideline risk context and is not included in the trend score. In detailed mode, eGFR is estimated with the 2021 CKD-EPI creatinine-cystatin C equation when age, sex, creatinine, and cystatin C are available.

Put the trends in context.

The score counts each comparable measurement or selected self-rating once. Stable and improved trends count as favorable under the fixed direction rules. The domain bars also show entries that could not be compared.

Clinical targets and measurement variation are not assessed. Use the values and changes to prepare a conversation with your clinician, who can interpret them alongside your health history.
