Terms & Disclaimers
Educational tools with clear boundaries.
Last updated July 30, 2026. These terms explain the limits of The Medicine Check content, calculators, paid tools, newsletters, and coaching services.
Acceptance of terms
By using The Medicine Check website, calculators, articles, newsletters, or coaching pages, you agree to these Terms & Disclaimers. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
Educational use only
The Medicine Check provides general education about healthspan, wealthspan, medication safety, retirement healthcare costs, and aging-related planning. The content is not individualized medical, medication, legal, tax, investment, financial planning, insurance, or accounting advice.
No clinician-patient relationship
Use of this site does not create a physician-patient relationship, pharmacist-patient relationship, fiduciary relationship, advisory relationship, or other professional-client relationship. Do not use the website as a substitute for care from a qualified clinician, pharmacist, attorney, tax professional, financial planner, investment adviser, or other licensed professional who knows your full situation.
No emergency use
This site is not monitored for emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call emergency services or seek urgent care immediately. Do not submit urgent medical, medication, mental health, legal, or financial issues through website forms.
Medication and health information
Medication tools, anticholinergic burden scores, and medication-review prompts are educational discussion aids. They are not instructions to start, stop, change, taper, combine, or avoid any medication. Medication decisions should be made with a qualified clinician or pharmacist.
Calculator limitations
Calculators and scores use assumptions, user-entered estimates, public benchmarks, and simplified models. Results may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or not applicable to your situation. They should be used as conversation starters, not as guarantees, diagnoses, predictions, or professional recommendations.
Financial and wealthspan boundaries
Wealthspan content and coaching are educational. They do not include individualized securities recommendations, portfolio management, tax advice, legal advice, insurance advice, estate planning advice, or comprehensive financial planning. Do not buy, sell, hold, or change any investment, insurance product, tax strategy, or legal document based only on this site.
Paid Life Planner access
Annual membership provides access to the educational Healthspan and Wealthspan Life Planner, browser-local check-in history, life-event review prompts, annual reports, member updates, and the limited AI Companion; it does not purchase financial planning, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, insurance advice, or medical care. Membership is billed once per year and renews annually until canceled. Checkout, receipts, renewals, cancellation settings, and payment-card processing are handled by Stripe. The price, next renewal date, trial terms, and any applicable cancellation or refund terms shown during Stripe Checkout and the Stripe customer portal are part of the purchase terms. Access may end when the Stripe subscription is canceled, unpaid, refunded, disputed, or otherwise inactive.
Saving a planning check-in is optional and uses the browser's local storage. The Medicine Check does not guarantee that locally saved history will remain available after browser data is cleared, a device is replaced, or software changes. Members can export a backup and are responsible for protecting exported files. Saved comparisons describe changes in user-entered assumptions and deterministic outputs; they are not investment-performance reports or professional recommendations.
Coaching services
Coaching services, if purchased, are intended to provide education, organization, and discussion prompts. Payment for coaching does not convert educational content into medical care, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or financial planning. Booking, payment, cancellation, refund, and no-show terms may be provided separately through scheduling or payment tools.
Artificial intelligence and editorial review
The Medicine Check may use AI-assisted drafting, research, coding, quality-review workflows, and a paid Planner Companion. The Planner Companion is limited to planner definitions, form-completion guidance, and review preparation, but it may misunderstand a question or produce an incomplete or inaccurate response. It cannot see locally saved plan history, does not calculate or compare planner results, and must not be treated as personalized advice. Published content should still receive human review, but errors may remain. You are responsible for verifying important information with appropriate professionals and current primary sources.
External links and third-party tools
The site may link to external websites, articles, studies, scheduling tools, payment processors, newsletter platforms, forms, or other services. Those third parties are not controlled by The Medicine Check and may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, and risks.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise noted, The Medicine Check content, page design, calculator copy, and educational frameworks are provided for personal educational use. Do not copy, sell, republish, or represent site materials as your own without permission.
No warranties
The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. The Medicine Check does not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, complete, or appropriate for your particular needs.
Limitation of use
You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, scrape in a way that burdens the service, or use the content for unlawful, misleading, or harmful purposes.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the website, services, tools, or legal requirements change. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised terms.
Attorney review recommended
These terms are intended as practical website language, not legal advice to The Medicine Check or to users. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied on for legal compliance.
